JOB SUMMARY:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function listed below: 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Demonstrates flexibility in job assignment 
  • Demonstrates experience in a fast paced clinic environment 
  • Must be willing to travel when needed to all locations with provider 
  • Efficiently and accurately interviews patients and documents histories; ensures charts are updated and accurate 
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of eye anatomy, disease and ocular medications 
  • Experience with HVF, Lensometry, Keratometry, Tonometry, Visual Fields, Amslers, Muscle Fields, Pupil Exams, and Refracting 
  • Proficiency with EMR computer programs; Compulink is preferred 
  • Perform general duties and other functions as required or assigned 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum one year experience working in the ophthalmology field 
  • Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: 
  • Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) preferred, medical assistant (MA) preferred, or similar equivalent experience. 
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Attention to detail; ensuring accuracy in work
  • Ability to multi-task and ensure deadlines are met consistently
  • Ability to work as a team member, collaboratively and positively
